About

I am currently a PhD candidate at the University of Strasbourg in France, working with Dr Didier Rognan. I am a MESRI (French High Research Ministry) fellow, after completing my Master's degree in Cheminformatics and my Engineering degree in Biotechnology.

My research focuses on developing methods to solve complex problems in computer-aided drug design. I have worked on protein pockets comparison, machine lerning on pocket representations, screening on targets of pharmaceutical interests (kinases, antibacterial, cytokine). I was involved in a lead optimization project with Medicinal and synthetic Chemists, and in studies on transmembrane proteins with Biologitst. I enjoy learning and integrating concepts from multiple scientific areas to achieve my research goals.

I had a 6-month industrial internship at Merck KGaA (Germany), where I was predicting the binding free energy of small molecules with proteins using FEP (with D. Kuhn, C. Schindler), and cumulated 12 months internship in Cheminformatics.

My teaching assistanship in programming and Databases, and previous work experiences taught me about communication with different audiences and managing several projects simultaneously.

I love music (which I see as one of the most beautiful creation ever!) and hobbies where I can mix colors.

I like interacting with people. Want to connect? Drop me a message at keguida[at]unistra.fr or via my linkedin page.
